During the day, the solar panel collects sunlight and converts it into electrical power stored in the rechargeable batteries. At night, the photocell (light sensing device), sensing the absence of light, turns on the solar garden accent light using the electricity stored during the day. The more sunlight the fixture gets, the stronger the charge will be and the longer your fixture will illuminate at night. All Moonrays solar garden accent lights utilize LED (light emitting diode) technology to provide light. LED’s are highly efficient sources of light, are cool to the touch and do not require replacement.
There is virtually no maintenance required for solar lights. For optimum performance, occasionally clean the panel surface to keep it free of dust and dirt. You may also need to replace the batteries over time. Some people bring their fixtures indoors in the winter to help extend the lifespan.
