The Perfect Fit for Your Home and Budget: Explore Decking Options and Plan Your Project

When it comes to decking, homeowners have options. Keim is ready to help you explore those options while carefully considering your desired aesthetic and your budget. For example, treated wood is economical and provides a classic touch to your outdoor living space. Treated deck lumber also offers long-term strength and durability when properly maintained, but its longevity will ultimately be less than composite material.

On the other hand, composite decking boards such as Trex are low maintenance and highly durable while also delivering the look and feel of traditional treated lumber. Still, most composite options are more expensive than treated lumber options. Available in a wide range of colors and textures, composite decking is highly resistant to rot, mildew, and insects, allowing you to enjoy your investment for generations.

Ready to plan your project? At Keim, we believe in getting it right the first time. Start your deck project by asking yourself the following questions:

1. What are your lifestyle needs?

2. What's your style?

3. What's your budget?

4. Is this your forever home, or are you planning to sell the house?

With these questions as a starting point, Keim can take the guesswork out of the design and shopping process. We’ll use the specifications from your design to ensure you have all the supplies you need to make it happen and that the decking materials you select are compatible with each other, from the largest cuts of lumber to the smallest screws.

With a bit of help from Keim, your deck dreams can become a reality - a custom outdoor space that is beautiful, durable, and crafted from the best decking materials for your individual design and budget.
